NewsAlgonquin Highlands decommissions well at Hwy 118 Spring SHARE ON: Smith Autumn, contributor, Friday, Oct. 17th, 2014 Algonquin Highlands council has had to close public access water on Highway 118, but they’re opening up another one. A woman was sick after drinking the water at the highway 118 spring and the MOE labelled it unsafe to drink. Council agreed to decommission the well and are moving forward with testing the well at the airport to provide treated water to the public at that location.
