A new Canada-wide study is revealing the impact hockey’s having on Haliburton County. Canadian Tire and Scotiabank have teamed up to do the study and its first phase addresses the game’s social impact. Already it’s showing Canadians spend an average of 7 hours a week in the sport. Former Toronto Maple Leaf Wendel Clark is supporting the study. The study’s second phase will show the economic impact and is set to be made public next year.
