Young women are getting another chance at connecting with female tradespeople.
Gear Up is an event put on by Fleming College to allow young girls and women network with other people interested in the trades. As well the event gives attendees the chance to meet and interact with women already in the trades.
Fleming announced yesterday that the event finally has a new date. According to the Peterborough based college, Gear Up has been rescheduled for February 27th from 6:00pm to 8:30pm.
Female students in the Trillium Lakes District School Board are being given an open invitation to attend. Fleming says the event is designed for girls from grade nine to 12.
