Vehicle found in a ditch leads to impaired driving charge

A Bobcaygeon resident is facing impaired driving charges after O.P.P. found their car in a ditch.

Haliburton Highlands O.P.P. is warning about the dangers of drinking and driving after finding a car in a ditch on Highway 121 in Minden.

According to Constable Amanda Gilbert, the O.P.P. charged a 56-year-old from Bobcaygeon after police on patrol found a car in a ditch along the highway Saturday around 3:00pm.

Gilbert says that after an investigation, the O.P.P. charged the person with operating a motor vehicle while impaired and driving with 80 milligrams or more of alcohol in their bloodstream.

The accused is due in court March 6th.
