The Haliburton Highlands Health Services are relocating patients while they deal with a leak in the roof.
HHHS CEO Carolyn Plummer announced today that the health services are moving some of the patients at the Highland Wood Long Term Care Facility.
Plummer says the cause for the relocation is a leak in the roof, adding that they were expecting to work on the roof in the spring. Plummer explained that the HHHS is working with the Central East Local Health Integration Network to find a long term solution and says the HHHS is working on repairing the leak in the meantime.
According to Plummer, the patients were relocated safely and the loved ones were informed already.
