Huntsville police reach out for public help in stolen contractor equipment investigation

The OPP needs your help tracking down stolen contractor equipment.

Police in Huntsville were called after a truck, trailer and excavator were all stolen from a compound in the Dorset area early Monday morning.

The white 2004 Ford F550 had a black dump box attached in the back and has the licence plate number AW 90630. The trailer was a black 18 foot flatbed with the licence plate number K4525M. The excavator was an orange and black 2012 John Deere 35D and had a bucket attached.

Officers are asking anyone with information to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-8477. You can also submit an anonymous online tip here. Any tips that lead to an arrest can come with a cash reward of up to $2,000.

Bachar Construction had originally reached out through social media offering to avoid laying charges if the equipment was promptly returned.
