Significant storm on the way for Southern and Central Ontario

It may be a couple of days off, but there is potential for a significant storm in the Haliburton area.

Snow will begin during the day Tuesday. Strong easterly winds gusting to 80 km/h will cause reduced visibility in blowing snow. Total snowfall amounts of 25 to 35 cm are likely before the snow tapers off during the day Wednesday.

It will be accompanied by strong and gusty easterly winds, reducing visibility even more. It is expected to impact all manners of travel, so officials are advising now to look at rebooking options as the storm approaches.
