Highlands East set to have closed door meeting about potential litigation affecting the municipality

The Municipality of Highlands East is getting ready for a closed session meeting in March.

Highlands East announced on their website and Twitter feed, its councillors are adding another meeting to their calendar for an uncommon reason. The reason for the meeting, according to the municipality is to go over legal action or rather potential legal action including matters before an administrative tribunal.

According to Highlands East, the meeting is to go over the potential litigation and its impact on the municipality, the building department, building permits, and the 2019 budget deliberations.

The meeting is scheduled for March 5th at 9:00am but because it is a closed-door session, members of the public are not allowed in the meeting while it’s going on.

Highlands East is expected to go over their budget next month as well.
