People of Haliburton County are getting an update on the 10-year housing and homelessness plan.
The people working on the plan in Haliburton County and the City of Kawartha Lakes are hosting a public consultation in both areas.
According to the organizers, people in Haliburton County can attend the consultation on March 14th from 9:00am to 2:00pm at the Haliburton Legion. The Kawartha Lakes consultation is happening the day before in Lindsay at the Ops Township Community Centre, also from 9:00am to 2:00pm.
With the plan being in its fifth year, the organizers say they will be going over the goals and accomplishments for the 10-year plan, an assessment of the current and future goals of the plan, how they are looking to improve local service coordination, and how they are increasing the affordable housing supply in both districts.
As well they’re going to go over how they hope to end homelessness.
