Although still a ways off of being done, the renovations to the municipal office are close to Phase Two.

Laurie Devolin, the Highlands East Chief Building Official, gave an update to council yesterday about the ongoing renovations.

Devolin explained that so far in the first of three phases, between January 8th and March 4th the construction team has installed new walls that have been dry-walled and painted, all electrical and IT connections are done, as well the flooring has been put down in the offices, Wi-Fi lounge and the accessible washroom. Pot lights and other light fixtures have been installed as well.

According to Devolin, Phase One is converting the post office space to offices, the lounge and an accessible washroom.
