Haliburton County councilors are still hoping to get our roads into GPS maps. According to staff, GPS companies don’t use government maps, but put roads in their systems based on how often people travel them. Councilors were hoping to get the new mapping systems out to these companies so visitors to the area could get around easier. After the staff report, council agreed to send a letter to each company encouraging them to use our GIS mapping.
