If you are a licenced truck driver, the county might have a job for you.
Haliburton County announced last week that they are hiring two full-time Truck Driver/Equipment Operators.
The $24.47 an hour job requires the applicants to have their AZ licence and clean driving record, previous experience driving a tandem truck with a snowplow/sander and a loader, and they need to have “proven snow plow experience.”
Some other requirements of the job are being on-call to work on short notice, demonstrate excellent intrapersonal skills and the ability to show good judgement and communicate with the staff and public. As well they will need to have proven experience in the repair and maintenance of equipment and vehicles.
According to the job posting, this position is 40 hours a week, and whoever gets the job will
need to be available to plow roads at any given point during the winter months
