It seems that seniors are going to have to wait to learn how to prevent falls.
Highlands East announced on Tuesday that the spring session of the Free, Falls Prevention Course has been cancelled.
The 12-week course was scheduled to run between April 9th and June 27th, but now the next session is not happening until July 9th. MyHaliburtonNow.com spoke with the Haliburton Highlands Health Services about the cancellation, and HHHS explained that they typically get low numbers of attendees.
Another factor, according to HHHS, was “we have a challenge recruiting qualified facilitators”.
HHHS says it was decided that they would just condense the spring and summer session into one rather than offer both. They say they are hopeful that there will be good attendance numbers in the combined session that runs in Wilberforce.
