Anyone looking to travel on Milburn Road is going to have to plan a new route.
Minden Hills announced earlier today that the road is closed for the time being while the road is dealing with the results of thawing snow and ice.
The township says the road is going to be closed from two kilometres east of County Road 1 to about half a kilometre west of the Irondale Waste Disposal Site. According to Chris Porter, the Operations Manager, the road is going to stay closed until the conditions are deemed safe.
Drivers are also being encouraged to avoid driving on roads that are underwater because it can be dangerous, and road conditions under the water might be unstable.
Private roads are not monitored by the township, so anyone accessing them are asked to do so with caution.
Minden Hills is continuing to monitor the road conditions.
