Haliburton County is among the leading local campaigns when it comes to local foods and some candidates in the election have showed their support. A survey was sent to each candidate from Sustain Ontario about community food access and food literacy. Murray Fearrey is running for re-election in Dysart and he outlined ways for a collaborative approach to enhance agricultural opportunities. Janis Parker is running against him and she showed ways of encouraging local growth to increase supply.
