City of Kawartha Lakes has postponed moving forward on a proposed housing help centre that would cover Haliburton County too. County councilors have been back and forth all summer with the project, looking for concrete numbers on how much this will cost us and what the benefit would be. Councilor Barb Reid said the discussion was put on hold at City of Kawartha Lakes council after some members said they needed more information before they could make a decision. Councilors were hoping to have answers, but assume discussions will start back up after the election.
