High water levels are forcing Minden Hills to close a bridge.
The township announced earlier today the snowmobile bridge going over the Gull River in downtown Minden is closed to all traffic.
According to the town, the decision to close came down to high water levels and the forecast calling for possible 50 millimetres of rain by tomorrow. Township officials are urging everyone to exercise caution during this time.
It is encouraged to be cautious around low lying areas, lakes, rivers, creeks, and even ditches. Another suggestion is that drivers do not cross roads that are underwater as the conditions could be dangerous underneath the water.
Minden Hills is continuing to monitor the water levels.
