Residents in Haliburton County can show their support for Corporal Nathan Cirillo today. His funeral is in Hamilton but the Minden Legion will be broadcasting it starting at 10:30 a.m. Cirillo was shot and killed while standing guard at the National War Memorial in Ottawa last Wednesday. The Minden legion will also have condolence tributes for the public to sign for Corporal Cirillo and Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent who was killed in a hit and run in Montreal early last week.
The legion will also have poppies and ‘Support Our Troops’ items available throughout the day.
