Residents and visitors are being encouraged to help feed those in need.
The Municipality of Highlands East announced that it is hosting an event called “Fill the Boat”. According to municipal staff, the goal of the event is to help support the Central Food Network.
On May 18th, the food network will be at the Wilberforce Foodland taking donations for the Wilberforce and Cardiff Foodbanks. If anyone is interested in making a donation during the event, staff say that donations will be accepting them between 11:00am and 3:00pm.
Everyone is welcome to come and make donations, not just Highlands East residents.
