Walkers Home Hardware opens to a capacity crowd

A local business is all moved into their new location.

Last night, crowds of people made their way into the new location for Walkers Home Hardware. The business opened the doors of their County Road 21 location for the first time to the public.

Jerry and Dale Walker, the owners of the business, welcomed customers in to review the expansive new store. As well those in attendance were treated to a beer and wine tasting while they explored the aisles on aisles of hardware products and supplies.

Although the new store is much larger than the previous location, the capacity crowd filled the space well enough that one person told MyHaliburtonNow.com that while they were in there, there were so many people that going back for another beer sample seemed impossible.

With the Walkers moved into the new location, the old one was sold to Castle Antiques. Castle is expected to renovate the space to provide a space to local artists, and perhaps even install a rooftop cafe.
