Haliburton County is looking to get some help for the summer.

The county announced last week that it is hiring a “seasonal flag person” to work for the Roads Department.

According to the job posting, the deadline to apply is May 15th at noon. Whoever applies to the $17.05 an hour job will need a grade 12 or equivalent, chainsaw training, the ability to understand operating and maintenance instructions, as well as the ability to operate heavy machinery.

In terms of experience, the county is looking for someone with two to three years in related work. The successful candidate needs to be okay working in loud environments and be okay doing heavy lifting, carrying and climbing.

Anyone interested in the 40 hours a week job, they can send their resume to Andrea Bull, the Human Resources Manager by emailing [email protected]
