Load Restrictions lifted on county roads

Drivers might start seeing heavy vehicles on county roads again.

Haliburton County announced that as of today, the load restriction on county roads has been lifted.

The county had initiated the load restriction back on March 1st meaning that all of the annual and project permits for moving heavy vehicles, objects, or structures that exceed the limit set out in the act and Bylaw were not valid during the reduced load period.

With the restriction lifted, that means that the following roads are now open to all sized vehicles County Road 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 39, 48, 507, and 648 with the exception of the part of the road at County Road 10 west of Highway 118.
