MINDEN HILLS, ON – The township is looking to bring on a Deputy Treasurer.

Minden Hills announced on their website this week that is looking to hire someone to with the Treasurer and CAO Lorrie Blanchard

According to the town, the full-time position requires whoever gets hired to complete tasks in the treasury, Human Resources and payroll departments.

In terms of minimum experience requirements to be considered for the job, Minden Hills staff that applicants need to have “proficiency in general accounting and finance related functions and concepts” as well as demonstrated knowledge of accounting and database software programs.

Some of the requirements are experience and proficiency in the Microsoft Office programs Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

It is also preferred that the applicants have knowledge of human resources and payroll.

According to the township, aside from experience, the minimum qualifications include a degree in business administration, a professional accounting designation, three years experience in accounting, previous experience in Municipal accounting, and a diploma or certificate in Human Resources.

Although the salary of the position is not listed, the town says that will be decided based on skills and qualifications.
