No one hurt following fire on Head Lake

HALIBURTON, ON – A boat fire on Head Lake did not hurt anyone according to the fire chief.

Sunday afternoon, Dysart et al firefighters were dispatched to Head Lake in Haliburton Village for reports of a boat on fire.

Dysart Fire Chief Mike Iles tells MyHaliburtonNow.com that fire crews responded in a boat and managed to get the fire out.

Iles says both occupants, a father and daughter, were on the boat when it caught fire but they were able to get off and were rescued by another boat. Both of them are completely unharmed.

Once the fire was out, Iles says the boat was pulled to shore where it was towed away.

The fire happened around 7:00 pm.
