Rotary Beach re-opened for public use

HALIBURTON, ON – A beach in Haliburton is safe for swimming.

The Municipality of Dysart et al announced that Rotary Beach is once again open to the public.

Staff had closed the beach to remove any debris and other contaminants that might have gone into the water after a boat caught fire over the weekend.

According to a post on the Dysart et al website, all of the debris has been cleared up and there is no evidence of oil or gas in the waters.

Dysart Deputy Mayor Patrick Kennedy posted on Facebook saying that he had spoken to the Director of Parks and Recreation Andrew Wilbee, who told him yesterday that barring any complications the beach was opening today. And it did.

Another Dysart beach was re-opened by the health unit. Eagle Lake Beach was posted last week.
