Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for Haliburton County. The warning affects Haliburton, Minden and parts of southern Haliburton County as well as Fort Irwin, Oxtongue Lake and parts of northern Haliburton County.

A heat warning is typically issued after three consecutive days of the weather reaching highs of 30 or more.

The meteorological agency suggests that people in the area keep checking the weather forecasts for updates as heat warnings can create “adverse weather conditions”.
