Sedgwick Bridge nominated for federal support

MINDEN HILLS, ON – Haliburton County Queen’s Park representative is advocating for a local bridge to get support from the feds.

Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock MPP and Minister of Infrastructure, Laurie Scott, announced today that Sedgwick Bridge in Minden Hills is being nominated as a project to be addressed by the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program.

“This project will help improve Sedgwick Road between Sawdust Road and Francis Road in Minden Hills. We need to build and maintain great road, bridge, air and marine infrastructure to help get people to work and home safely, so they can spend more time with the people they love,” said Scott.

According to the longtime MPP, this nomination is part of the Rural and Northern stream of ICIP.

Scott says in a press release that the federal government will now review the projects nominated and decide final funding allocations.
