The Matt Duchene Charity Classic was a swinging success.
The sixth annual golf tournament took place Thursday night at the Pinestone Resort. While all the money raised is still being totalled, the final amount will exceed $50,000.
The Nashville Predator forward and Haliburton native Duchene was there for the event, and he brought his wife and son.
Local MPP Laurie Scott attended and along with a large group of local golfers, auction items helped with the overall fundraising initiative.Â
The day included a hole-in-one contest, lunch and dinner and other contest prizes.
It was hosted by Moose FM’s own Rick Lowes.
