Haliburton County launches “Dine on the Dock” food tourism program

MINDEN HILLS, ON – Haliburton County is trying to entice people to eat at local restaurants.

Haliburton County’s tourism department has launched a program that offers take-out options from local restaurants called “Dine on the Dock”.

The idea behind the program is that people would be able to go to a number of restaurants around the county and order food to go and head back to their dock or wherever they felt like eating.

This program was conceptualized by the county in the Food Tourism Strategy and the task of making it happen was given to the county Food Tourism Facilitator.
