HALIBURTON, ON – If you are in Haliburton, you might see people filling up around town.
The Municipality of Dysart et al announced last week that the second of two water filling stations is now open to the public.
Although the one in the lobby of the AJ LaRue Arena has been open for a while, the outdoor station next to the Rails End Gallery was delayed in opening.
The municipality had put a bag over the station while they determined if the water was safe for consumption.

Dysart had installed these stations as part of its efforts to be more eco-friendly as a municipality.
These water stations are not the only decision made by Dysart to combat environmental concerns, it is also working towards a complete ban of single-use plastics.
