HALIBURTON, ON – Haliburton County is looking to expand a road in Dysart.

The county has opened the tender process for road work in Haliburton Village. According to the county, the hope is to expand roughly 260 metres of rural road for access to Halbiem Crescent

A goal of this work is to create a left-turning lane, as well as create a pedestrian crosswalk.

With the county taking tenders for the work, county officials say the scope of the work includes removing the existing shoulder, stripping the embankment of vegetation and winter sand, and extending the existing culvert five metres.

Tenders will be taken until 2:00 pm on September 12th.
