Beaver Creek lockdown ended

GRAVENHURST, ON- The lock down at Beaver Creek has ended.

According to an announcement from the prison, the facility has resumed normal operations after the wrap-up of an exceptional search which was put in place on August 26th.

A number of unauthorized items were found during the search, though the exact number or what kind of items wasn’t provided.

Correctional Service Canada says they are strengthening measures to prevent the entry of contraband into its institutions in order to ensure “a safe and secure environment for everyone”.
