2019 Election: Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock

HALIBURTON-KAWARTHA LAKES-BROCK- With a total of 243 polls reporting, here are the latest numbers for the race in Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock.

The Conservative’s Jamie Schmale has taken the lead with 26,331 votes with a total percentage of 49 per cent for local support.

The Liberal’s Judi Forbes has taken second with 13,812 votes with a total percentage of 25.6 per cent for local support.

The Green’s Elizabeth Fraser has taken 4,528 votes with a total percentage of  8.4 per cent for local support.

The NDP’s Barbara Doyle has taken 8,092 votes with a total percentage of 15 per cent for local support.

And the People’s Party candidate Gene Balfour has taken 1,049 votes with a total percentage of 1.9 per cent for local support.

It appears the Liberals are headed back to Ottawa with a minority government.  So far tonight the Liberals are elected or leading in 156 ridings, the Conservatives 121.  The Bloc Quebecois 32 and the NDP 25.  The Green Party has 3 and the People’s Party is not reporting.
