Woodlands Wildlife Sanctuary needs community help to receive funding

The Woodlands Wildlife Sanctuary (WWS) is turning to the community for help to get them some much needed funding. Operator Monika Melichar explains what they’re doing.

The Aviva Insurance Community Fund provides one million dollars to up to 40 organizations in the country who are making a positive change in their community. If WWS is successful, they’ll be one of the organizations to receive part of the one million dollars. Melichar tells Moose FM what they need the funding for.

In order to make it to the finals, they need to receive the top number of votes. Melichar explains this is where they need the community’s help.

Melichar says the great thing about the program is that if they don’t make it to the finals, they’ll still receive five thousand dollars for making it this far.

You can vote every day for ten days, starting on December first. You find a link to vote on the WWS Facebook page or their website. You can also click here to access it, or visit the Aviva Community Fund for more information.
