4Cs Food Bank comfortable in new location, sees increase over a year

Food Banks across Haliburton County are seeing increases in usage, and the 4Cs in Haliburton is no different. Coordinator David Ogilvie explains what they’ve seen this past year.

The food bank moved into a new location this past year and Ogilvie says it’s really improved their service.

Ogilvie says they’ve seen an increase in use over the past year and they’re giving out about 100 boxes a month. He explains what they do different for Christmas

For clients with families, they also supply toys for kids.

Ogilvie says people need to register before December 9 to receive a Christmas food voucher. They’re also looking for cash donations to help purchase the vouchers and keep the food bank stocked with healthy, non-perishable foods.
