Local MP Barry Devolin announced that thanks to the Public Health Agency of Canada and the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 23 AEDs have made their way into public areas across the Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock riding. They’re Automated External Defibrillators and there are three at the arenas in Haliburton and Minden. Devolin says the government is working towards having these units in recreational arenas across Canada. The units are public access, safe, and easy to use with little to no training.
