Jonathan Wilker has been appointed Fire Chief and Community Emergency Management Coordinator for the Township of Algonquin Highlands.
Fire Chief Wilker left the Township of Whitewater Region’s Fire Department at the end of January after serving as their Chief for 2 years.
Mayor Carol Moffat says Algonquin Highlands new Fire Chief “brings with him 25 years experience in emergency management including 17 years’ experience in various leadership roles in the fire service”.
The township’s new Fire Chief was officially appointed at the March 5 council meeting.
