Haliburton County still working through the shoreline preservation bylaw

The shoreline preservation draft bylaw is back on the table on Tuesday.

At the March 11 county committee of the whole meeting, county council was presented with another opinion on the strengths and issues of the draft bylaw as well as suggestions on how to move forward with a “workable and comprehensive” shoreline preservation bylaw.

Although reviewing the draft bylaw was on the agenda Wednesday, not all councillors were prepared and some found it difficult to understand. County Planner Charlsey White told council she would put together a “Coles notes” version.

It was agreed a meeting to go through the draft would happen Tuesday March 17 at 8:30am.
