There are a total of 6 confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported in the Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District.
All of the individuals had been travelling out of the country before contracting the virus, and all are in self isolation.
Case #1 is a woman in her sixties from Northumberland.
Case #2 is a woman in her sixties from City of Kawartha Lakes.
Case #3 is a man in his seventies from Northumberland.
Case #4 is a female in her sixties from Northumberland.
Case #5 is a male in his sixties from Northumberland and
Case #6 is a female in her seventies from the City of Kawartha Lakes.
HKPR is working with local hospitals who have put measures in place to screen individuals who are suspected of being infected with the corona virus.
When a suspected or confirmed case is identified in our area, HKPR works with the Ministry, Public Health Ontario Laboratory and local hospitals in the management of the case and follow-up with anyone who may have had contact with that person.
