High traffic at Minden Hills waste sites

The Township of Minden Hills says residents are attending waste sites in higher volumes than usual.

Since announcing March 18 there would be reduced services at waste sites, residents are going to waste facilities in higher volumes than are typical for the time of year. It has also been noted that many are attending with minimal amounts of waste.

In order to reduce the number of individuals on site at any given time, the township urges residents to avoid waste sites as much as possible. They want a minimum of 3 full bags of garbage per visit. They ask that you not bring passengers unless you need help unloading or have a child or dependent in your care. Do not cross barriers in place and do not approach attendants.

All waste facilities in the municipality will only accept bagged household waste and recycling.
