The 2020 season of the Highlands Summer Festival is cancelled.
President of the Board of Directors, Brian Kipping said in a press release, that the decision was taken after much deliberation and consideration of the options available.
President Kipping said that in the end, the welfare of the patrons, cast, crew and volunteers was uppermost in their minds. The president went on to explain that it is difficult to predict what the situation will be on the proposed opening day, June 29.
The preparation work for the season would be starting now…rehearsals, set construction, costume creation and meetings.
Kipping says the board share’s everyone’s disappointment that the 2020 season will not happen as planned, but they look forward to seeing you at the theatre in 2021.
