The local hardware stores and lumber yards want your business.
Although a number of businesses in the county have had to close their doors, some stores have adapted to the need for physical distancing.
Haliburton Home Hardware owner Dale Walker explains the new reality.
“What people have to do is call in advance. The store will pick your order and process it through to your credit card and then you can come and pick it up”. It takes them longer to shop for you, so they appreciate “as much heads up that you can give them. They can’t open and they can’t let you in the store”.
