Highlands East wants people to be aware of the seriousness of this situation, and do their part to help “flatten the curve” and stop the spread of COVID-19.
In a media release Wednesday, the township outlined additional measures being taken to help slow the spread of the virus, and keep the community informed.
Seasonal Trailer Parks and Recreational Campgrounds are not listed as essential, and are required to close immediately.
For those whose only Canadian residence is at one of these facilities, they’re permitted to continue to live there and complete their mandatory self-isolation, in accordance with the federal government’s Quarantine Act, which took effect March 25.
