The question of the day is how best to open up the economy.
Local MPP Laurie Scott has been appointed to the Economic and Job Recovery Committee with eleven other cabinet ministers, to focus on getting businesses up and running.
They’ll be hearing from health groups, municipal groups, and other guest analysts, to help develop the plan going forward.
MPP Scott says “it’s been busy, we talk economy all the time and it is a crunch and she knows that people are hurting and businesses are hurting across the province.
She says they’re trying to work with medical experts to see how they can start to open up the low risk businesses. MPP Scott says they are talking continually about how best to open up the economy while protecting the health and safety of everyone.
She knows Haliburton is getting anxious for the summertime, when most of the money is made, and says there will be more of a plan in the coming days and weeks.
