The new council in Minden Hills has made the decision to keep the Riverwalk closed through the winter. The last council asked staff to look into the cost and liability after some residents made the request. A report came forward yesterday and council agreed the health and safety risk was too big, along with the cost and residential impact. The vote was unanimous to keep the Riverwalk closed for the winter. Maintenance on the Loggers Bridge will keep going and it will remain open.
