MPP Laurie Scott thanks everyone in Ontario for following the guidelines and getting us all to this point.
She says “cases are starting to decline and with that more businesses are being allowed to open, and get our economy working again, safely and cautiously”.
Scott says garden centres and nurseries are opening today. Â Saturday, hardware stores and “safety supply stores will open up, allowing people to go in”.
MPP Scott says “everyone has to social distance and take whatever precautions are needed, but that is a great relief to many stores in Haliburton County”.
Monday retail stores with a street entrance can open up with curbside pickup. Marinas can service boats and get them ready, although still no contact with the public. MPP Scott says “above grade construction projects” are also allowed to continue.
She says next week there will be more information and depending on how the numbers look, there may be more openings.
