Algonquin Highlands Emergency Group met again this week to assess the current pandemic situation and it’s potential effects on the township.
Local marinas may begin prepping for the recreational boating season by servicing boats and other watercraft, and putting them in the water, but may not open to the public.
Due to the closure of the Dorset Tower, no annual passes will be issued and the public water tap at this location, is not accessible. Available water taps in Algonquin Highlands are at the Stanhope Airport and the township office on North Shore Road.
Algonquin Highlands will resume regular council meetings electronically on May 21, and will meet once a month until further notice.
