More items will be accepted at Minden Hills landfill sites effective today.
At the Scotch Line landfill, leaves, pine needles and grass clippings, scrap metal, freon free appliances, electronics and tires will be accepted free of charge.
At the Irondale landfill, scrap metal and electronics will be accepted for free and the Little Gull, Iron Mine and Ingoldsby transfer stations will accept scrap metal at no charge.
Minden Hills landfills are not accepting brush, and items that would normally have tipping fees at this time.
