Dysart’s Director of Parks and Recreation, Ray Miscio told council yesterday that the increasing cost of utilities is causing them to raise rental fees at the arena. Council agreed to increase the fees so they are on par with Minden Hills. That means fees will be going up by five to ten dollars, depending on usage with the exception of day rates which won’t be increased.This is the full list of rates which will go up on July 1, 2015:Minor Rate – Minor Hockey/ Figure Skating from $70.00 to $75.00 per hourPrime Time (after 4 p.m. weekdays and on weekends) from $100.00 to $110.00 per hourTournament Rate (Labour Day to end of March) from $115.00 to $125.00 per hourDay Rate (Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.), staying at $70.00 per hourSummer Ice Rates (July 1 to Labour Day) from $150.00 to $160.00 per hourSchool Rates from $80.00 to $85.00 per hour
