One person believed dead in Gravenhurst trailer fire that injured three firefighters

A coroner is now on scene at the trailer home fire south of Gravenhurst off HWY 11 and it’s believed one person has died in the blaze, which was first reported around 10am. OPP Constable Samantha Bigley says the scene is being held for Forensics and that the Crime Unit has taken over the investigation. This morning Gravenhurst Fire Chief Larry Brassard confirmed three firefighters were injured while aggressively entering the burning trailer at Muskoka Mobile Home Park – two suffered burns and had to be taken to hospital while another was injured when they fell on ice. The Moose has learned that a woman who had been staying in the trailer had made the call today but it’s not been confirmed whether she made the call from inside the trailer or elsewhere. Police are remaining tight lipped and have not officially confirmed whether someone died in the blaze. More details as they emerge.
